What we collect, why we collect it, and how to make us stop.
OMG Live is a live music and events publication based in Austin, Texas. You can reach us any time at major@omglive.music.
When you subscribe to our newsletter, we ask for your email address and your phone number, both of which are required. You may also choose to give us your first and last name, age, favorite genres of music, favorite types of venues, and your area of Austin — those are optional, and they exist so we can send you shows you'd actually want to go to.
When you contact us through a form on this site — promoting a show, artist development, or a business inquiry — we collect whatever you put in that form so we can reply.
We do not run advertising trackers on this site, and we do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
By entering your email address and phone number and subscribing, you consent to receive recurring automated marketing text messages from OMG Live about shows, giveaways, and deals.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them, or HELP for help — opting out of texts does not unsubscribe you from the email newsletter. We do not share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing.
We use a small number of service providers to run this operation:
These providers handle your data on our behalf and under their own privacy terms.
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and it works immediately. You can text STOP to stop text messages. You can also email us at major@omglive.music and ask us to show you what we have on file, correct it, or delete it entirely, and we will.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information — including the right to access, correct, delete, or port it, and to opt out of its sale (we don't sell it). Email us and we'll honor those requests.
This site and our newsletter are not intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. Many of the events we cover are 18+ or 21+.
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we'll say so in the newsletter.
This policy is written to describe our actual practices in plain language. It is not legal advice, and it hasn't been reviewed by an attorney.
